Hammond concerned about NA’s size

Amory coach Trent Hammond and the Panthers host New Albany tomorrow night at Longenecker Field. The Panthers lost a tough one on a last-second touchdown against rival Aberdeen last week.

“We’ve had a great week of practice. We’ve tried to teach them to be resilient,” Hammond said. “It’s a game of adversity. It’s easy when you’re winning every week. Let’s see how you handle it when things are bad.”

On New Albany:

“They’re really big and physical and we’re not a team that has big kids anywhere on our roster,” Hammond said. “They’re lined up with big ones.”
